Pecco Bagnaia rode a controlled race in Germany, striking late on and securing the lead to take the flag for victory; a win that means he now leads the rider standings going into the summer break.

He was joined on the podium by Marc Marquez in second and Alex Marquez in third.

Enea Bastianini finished fourth, Miguel Oliveira sixth, Pedro Acosta seventh and Raul Fernandez tenth; all Alpinestars riders.

The result means Bagnaia becomes Ducati's most successful rider in MotoGP with 24 wins.
