The GP Pro Comp v2 features an outer shell plain material developed exclusively for Alpinestars which is combined with a soft aramidic base knit lining for optimum levels of comfort, protection, light weight, and comfort. Thanks to the introduction of the aramidic base lining with an open weave structure, this suit delivers enhanced levels of breathability breathable, and this is reinforced even further by the strategically-positioned knitted stretchable open mesh panels on the back, crotch, and armhole for additional airflow and flexibility, both in and out of the car.

The GP Pro Comp V2 Suit is certified to FIA 8856-2018 for auto racing. Its lightweight multi-layer construction includes a 100% aramidic anti-static outer shell with heat- and flame-resistant properties, paired with a soft aramidic knit lining.

How does the GP Pro Comp V2 Suit fit, and which size should I choose?
The GP Pro Comp V2 has an athletic-regular fit. The Black Asphalt White variant is listed in sizes 44–66 in increments of two. Floating arms with stretch knitted fabric and stretch mesh panels at the lower back and crotch support movement in the driving position.
Compare your measurements with the Alpinestars size guide and check the fit while seated with your intended racing base layers. You should be able to reach the controls without restrictive pulling through the shoulders or crotch.
How breathable is the GP Pro Comp V2 Suit in a hot cockpit?
The GP Pro Comp V2 combines an open-weave aramidic lining with strategically positioned stretchable open mesh panels at the back, crotch, and armholes. These features promote airflow and flexibility within its lightweight multi-layer construction, helping manage heat during driving.
Does the GP Pro Comp V2 Suit have features for use with a HANS device?
Yes. Silicone grip panels on the shoulders are designed to improve connection and feel with a HANS device. Additional silicone grip panels at the lower back improve contact with the seat.
These are grip features, not a replacement for correct HANS fitting. Follow the device manufacturer’s setup instructions.
Can I route cooling-vest or communication-system cables through the GP Pro Comp V2 Suit?
Yes. The GP Pro Comp V2 has a dedicated cable opening on the left side of the body for a cooling vest or communication system. A self-closing protective flap covers the opening to maintain protection around the cable access point.
