RSRV Pyro SS Tee

Every RSRV capsule has included a reimagining of the classic t-shirt. Shapes, drapes, fit, and function have been explored and technical materials from the Alpinestars archives have been assigned. The McLaren partnership justified an even more comprehensive delve into the archives and a more emphatically reinterpreted tee.

The body of the PYRO SS TEE is constructed from a natural ecru-colored Fire-resistant Aramid fabric that has been repurposed from the lining of deadstock Alpinestars race suits. It features a convertible collar that can be pulled up into a ½ balaclava configuration, referencing the protective nature of its race-inspired technical lineage. The shoulders have been enhanced with McLaren speedmark-shaped yokes that also allude to the epaulets that adorn the shoulders of Alpinestars auto racing suits. Another nod to Alpinestars technical garments is the externally stitched seams, which replicate the construction of vintage Aramid base layers that would be stitched “inside-out” to prevent excess fabric from rubbing against the skin, ensuring maximum comfort for drivers. Black RSRV logos and McLaren’s papaya orange speedmark and wordmark logos are printed in various locations, reflective of the team’s racewear.
