Built for the world’s toughest terrain, the Tech-Air® Off-Road is a FIM-homologated airbag system engineered specifically for Rally and Enduro riding. Developed in Dakar since 2017, it delivers advanced CE Level 1 airbag protection for the chest, back, shoulders, collarbones, and neck. Integrated with an Alpinestars Off-Road Protection Jacket equipped with CE Level 2 passive chest protection and CE Level 1 passive protection on the back, elbows, and shoulders, the Tech-Air® Off-Road system offers race-level coverage and roost resistance. With ENDURO, RALLY, and STREET riding modes preloaded, it’s built for every off-road and street scenario.
- User-replaceable gas inflators (where local laws permit).
- Fully self-contained: integrated accelerometers and gyroscopes inside the ECU—no external sensors required.
- 30-hour battery life, USB-C charging port on the LED display; 4-hour full recharge, 1-hour charge yields 8 hours of use.
- Auto activation by zipping up; deactivates when unzipped.
- Shipping Mode slide switch disconnects the battery during transport or long-term storage (accessed via back protector).
- Removable ECU and airbag allow easy washing of the Protection Jacket.
- Proven over twice as protective as passive impact protectors.
- Dual gas inflators allow two deployments; airbag certified for up to four deployments before having to replace it (if undamaged).

- Incompatible with all neck braces, including Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support (BNS).

- Protection Jacket’s passive Chest protector is certified to CE Level 2. Back, Elbow and Shoulder protectors are certified to CE Level 1; elbows and shoulders protectors are replaceable. Honeycomb Nucleon CELL technology on both the chest and back protectors for lightweight, ventilated, and flexible protection.

- ECU is sealed for all-weather use; operates from -10°C to 50°C and is ECE R10 04 homologated.

Due to regulations for transport of dangerous goods by air (IATA) and road (ADR), consumers are not permitted to ship Tech-Air® products themselves for return or servicing. In the event of a return or service request you must therefore deliver the goods in person to one of our Tech-Air® Hubs. Please ensure you first contact our Customer Care team to receive confirmation of the correct Hub and approval before visiting.

• Gas inflator replacement
Tech-Air® 7x Systems now offer the capability for users to easily replace empty Gas Inflators by following the instructions provided in the User Manual, included in the Gas Inflators Replacement Kit.

Autonomous replacement of Gas Inflators in compatible Tech-Air® Systems is permitted ONLY for users located in countries authorized for Gas Inflator Handling and Replacement. These countries include those that comply with European Standard EN 16263.

Developed and tested since 2017, in the most grueling conditions of the Dakar Rally, the world’s toughest off-road race, the Tech-Air® Off-Road System offers the most advanced active airbag technology for off-road riding.
The Tech-Air® Off-Road System, with the active airbag inflated, delivers CE Level 2 chest
protector; CE level 1 shoulders, elbow and back protectors in the event of a crash. The System is integrated with an Alpinestars Off-Road Protection Jacket that is equipped with a Level 1 passive full back and limb protection, integrated protection on the arms and a CE Level 2 passive full chest protector offering riders enhanced roost protection against rocks, debris, and other obstacles they may come into contact with on the trail. Built tough enough to tackle any terrain, the System comes pre-loaded with three Riding Modes; ENDURO, RALLY, and STREET, making it the perfect choice for every type of off-road and street riding.
A.I. TECHNOLOGY
The state-of-the-art wearable Tech-Air® Off-Road System is equipped with a fully self-contained, standalone system; 3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope) are integrated into the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to provide the best crash monitoring performance and active airbag protection in a variety of dynamic off-road riding scenarios. No external sensors are required for the system to operate.
RALLY MODE:
Optimized for fast off-road action on any type of terrain and at high speeds.
ENDURO MODE:
Optimized for low and medium-speed trail and off-road action on any terrain.
STREET MODE:
Optimized for asphalt roads and traffic conditions including situations in which the rider may encounter another vehicle in an accident.
LED Display
The Button enables on-the-fly ride mode switching, provides Tech-Air® system status and a battery level indicator.
Back Protector & Hydration
The Back Protector is light and flexible, provides extended coverage, and is highly breathable. CE Certified Level 1. The chassis features a hydration pocket and hose routing for long rides.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
Bluetooth connectivity to a Tech-Air® App allows monitoring of the system’s operational status, battery status and analysis of your ride including plotting your route on a map. The app allows you to easily switch between STREET, ENDURO and RALLY Riding Modes, ensuring motorcyclists are protected during your Off-Road Ride and on the commute to and from.
